Grade 8 Heads to NYC

The eighth grade will be traveling to New York City tomorrow for their Outward Bound Urban Trekking Excursion. The chaperones on the trip will all be posting to their mobile blogs as we explore the city with Outward Bound. Middle School Talent Show Review

“And in First Place: Giovanni P.”
He won the talent show after his solo of singing “We are the Champions.” He won 3 dress down days. In second place, for two dress down days, was Urvi after she played a piano solo. Third place was Cristina after her dance solo to “Speaking French.” She was awarded one dress down day.

The talent show was packed and there were many amazing acts. Alex G., Kailey B, and Meg S., all 6th graders performed a comical skit called “Mr. Sausage.” There were mixtures of singing, dancing, and playing of instruments, especially the piano. Six 8th grade girls sang “Just Stand Up” for cancer awareness. 8th grader Emma B. sang “Breakaway.” Meg S. Played some great piano music, and Kailey B. played “Perfect” on the piano. This talent show  was “The Most Entertaining year ever,” according to Mackenzi J.
